The first heart operation in Bancheny

Nothing is impossible when a person’s life is at stake, and the team of the Heart Institute once again proved it in a flash.
The first heart operation in Bancheny (Chernivtsi region) was conducted at the St. Luke’s clinic.
The team of the Heart Institute, together with Chernivtsi colleagues, performed open heart surgery – mitral valve plastic surgery. The patient, who did not have the opportunity to go to Kyiv for treatment, was operated on at no cost to him. The charges were borne by the St. Luke’s Clinic, where the surgery was performed.
