The First Issue of the Ukrainian Heart Journal
The 47th issue of the journal, previously known as Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Cardiology, has been released under a new name.

Why Ukrainian Heart Journal?
First of all, this title reflects a fundamental principle of modern patient care in cardiology — the coordinated work of a multidisciplinary Heart Team. Strict adherence to this principle has ensured the successful activity of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for more than 18 years, making it a leading scientific and practical center in cardiology, cardiac surgery, and related specialties. Another important reason for the renaming was the aspiration to strengthen the journal’s recognition within the global professional community and to continue its integration into the most authoritative scientometric databases.
The founder and Editor-in-Chief of the journal is Professor Borys Todurov, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. The high scientific level of this peer-reviewed publication is ensured by the staff of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the departments of the Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine based at the Institute’s clinical facilities, and leading specialized institutions across the country.
Since its establishment in 2012, the journal has consistently expanded its presence in scientometric databases, actively engaged international experts, and gradually increased the number of publications in English. This work is an essential component of the successful integration of Ukrainian cardiology and cardiac surgery into the international community.
