Conference “Functional Diagnostics of Cardiovascular Diseases” at the Heart Institute
On March 14, 2019, the National Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education named after P. Shupik (NMAPE) and the Heart Institute held the 7th Register Scientific and Practical Conference “Functional Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Diseases” devoted to the 40th anniversary of the Department of Functional Diagnostics. The main purpose of the conference was to familiarize practitioners with modern possibilities of methods of functional diagnostics, discuss the state of preparation of methodological and normative documents. More than 320 doctors from the majority of regions of Ukraine, including managers and representatives of specialized departments, experts in functional diagnostics, were registered to participate in the conference, which took place in the crowded hall of the Heart Institute.
The conference was opened by the head of the department of cardiac surgery, X-ray endovascular, and extracorporeal technologies of the NMAPE, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Borys Todurov.
Traditionally, the topics of the conference covered modern aspects of electro-and echocardiographic diagnostics, ultrasound examination of vessels, Holter ECG monitoring, event monitoring, electroencephalography.
During the conference, a meeting of the chief experts on functional diagnostics from the regions of Ukraine and representatives of specialized departments was conducted, in which teaching of functional diagnostics is carried out. At the end of the conference, there was a presentation of a new textbook by Professor O. Zharinov and associate professor V.Kuts “Electrocardiography for a family doctor”.
