Childbirth at the Heart Institute

On February 13, 2020, at the Heart Institute, a 31-year-old woman with a heart defect – mitral valve stenosis – gave birth to a healthy baby girl with a caesarean section conducted by a gynecologists’ team led by Prof. V. Kaminsky together with the doctors of the Heart Institute headed by Prof. Borys Todurov.

This is another joint operation conducted at the Heart Institute. Generally, there are two teams of doctors at the clinic, to ensure maximum safety and safety for the mother or child who has severe heart defects.
