New Issue of the Ukrainian Heart Journal
On the last day of March, the electronic version of the first 2026 issue of the Ukrainian Heart Journal was released. This edition prioritizes original and review articles on the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension and acute mesenteric ischemia. Particularly noteworthy are clinical case reports on fragment embolism into the non-coronary sinus of Valsalva after blast injury, surgical treatment of a giant aneurysm of the right coronary artery, and reconstructive correction of Williams syndrome.
The issue includes contributions from leading clinics and academic institutions in Ukraine in the fields of cardiology and cardiac surgery, among them: the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the Strazhesko National Scientific Center “Institute of Cardiology, Clinical and Regenerative Medicine” of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine, and the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University.
The founder and Editor-in-Chief of the journal, now entering its 15th year, is Professor Borys Todurov, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. The renewed editorial board includes staff of the Heart Institute, departments of the Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine, leading national institutions, and several international experts. The journal is published in both Ukrainian and English, with all articles undergoing independent peer review.
