Specialists of the Heart Institute Studied at Leading Clinics in Japan
There are no limits to development and learning! This time, at the invitation of PhD Masashi Komeda, the doctors of the Heart Institute, Oleg Zelenchuk, Anna Shkandala, and Iryna Mirinyuk, studied the most modern techniques in leading clinics in Japan.
In Nagoya 1 st Red-Cross Hospital Dr. Ito introduced the current trends and equipment for endoscopic cardiosurgical interventions, which are routinely performed and are considered the operations of choice for many heart valve pathologies.
At Ichinomiya-Nishi Hospital, Dr. Komeda provided the opportunity to be present at the operation of a complex clinical case and familiarized our doctors with his own technique of left atrial reduction.
In one of the most powerful centers in Japan, NCVC (National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center), Dr. Fukushima presented the work of a surgeon at the Da Vinci robot, gave opportunities to master routine movements on the simulator, and familiarized with the intricacies of transesophageal echocardiography intraoperatively.
Finally, our doctors had the opportunity to continue studying robotic surgery at Chiba-nishi (west) General Hospital.
Medical progress and technology are developing at lightning speed, so our doctors try to keep up with the speed of the modern world, despite the difficult times for our country, to improve the quality of medical services and the level of professional care.
We sincerely thank our Japanese colleagues and the Japanese government for their strong support and assistance to Ukraine, the Ministry of Health, the leadership of the Heart Institute, namely Prof. Borys Todurov, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to live and develop in our own country.
