The Heart Institute Team is Always Ready to Gain New Knowledge
The team of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is always ready to receive new knowledge. Our experience and innovation help give life to our patients.
Another group of our doctors – Anna Shkandala, Viktor Komarnytskyi returned from an internship at the Center for Cardiac Surgery and Transplantation (CKTCH) in Brno, Czech Republic. The internship took place under the Medevac program, which is coordinated and financed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic and is supported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
It is not the first time that one of the leading centers of the Czech Republic has hosted us and introduced us to modern European trends in cardiology, cardiac surgery and transplantology.
Our team has undergone important training in echocardiography, endovascular methods of prosthetic valve replacement (TAVI) and mitral insufficiency correction (mitral clip), implantation of the most modern devices to support ventricles in patients with heart failure (Impella) and participated in the newest methods of aortic pathology correction (Exovasc), heart and liver transplants.
All new knowledge has already been brought to Ukraine and is being implemented in the treatment of our patients
We are developing Ukrainian medicine together and thank the Ministry of Health and the Czech government for this opportunity.
